SWWIM sustains and celebrates women poets by connecting creatives across generations and by curating a living archive of contemporary poetry, while solidifying Miami as a nexus for the literary arts.

I am

the honey lifted

lip

of syrup

I fold and unfold desire

I am bosom to wheel

the wide hips you call earth

every day

clay and kettle

steam to whistle

more dark sips

down to the black bottom

of my cup

where did the sugar girls

get their berries and cream

I linger by the cradle

of the next born

morning I linger

by the lusting

crumple & crease

I linger in the clear

bath of morning

and wait

for beauty to reappear
