SWWIM sustains and celebrates women poets by connecting creatives across generations and by curating a living archive of contemporary poetry, while solidifying Miami as a nexus for the literary arts.

Marriage Story with Travel and Contranyms

We were together not
together see-saw dizzy
for years

almost no sometimes
maybe but always
such good

travelers
I said yes to that last-ditch
trip both journey

& stumble yes
to azure Aegean ouzo
& small

white monasteries. We were
trying again both attempting
& exasperating

promising
once more almost
believing all up & down

the Peloponnesus
we carried dumb faith & good
luggage

found the best figs
bandaged our wounds
& chose

finally
one part of cleave not cling
but split.
